Meet Ms. Cronk

My name is Janelle Cronk and this is my 7th year at Watertown City School District.  I have worked as a Reading Consultant for the past 3 years and truly love what I do!  I was raised in Sackets Harbor, NY and graduated high school from there.  I have a B.S. in Childhood Education (1-6) and an M.S. Ed in Literacy Education (B-6).  I am eager to meet your child(ren) and build a relationship to ensure that trust and learning work hand-in-hand!

I have a love for animals that matches my love for teaching!  I have a black lab named Oakley who keeps me very busy when I am not at school.  We run together and eat lots of ice cream!  I love the Boston Red Sox and enjoy being outside.  When I am not teaching at Sherman, I spend alot of spare time helping others.  I am a New York State certified Critical Care Technician and enjoy teaching CPR to those in need.

I am consistently encouraging students at Sherman to find a love for reading.  In the words of Dr. Seuss: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
