What is the Student Assistance Program?
A New York State certified prevention counseling program that helps students by providing support, information, referrals, and one-to-one discussions.
The program is both CONFIDENTIAL and VOLUNTARY
The goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students develop healthy coping skills, make positive lifestyle choices, and avoid alcohol and substance abuse problems.
Why would I go talk to the Student Assistance Counselor?
Students can talk to their Student Assistance Counselor for many reasons. Some specific areas include:
Relationship, stress, peer pressure, grief or loss, alcohol, tobacco, or other drug use information, study skills, problem-solving,
anger, self-esteem or any other topics or issues they wish to discuss.
