Information Technology in the Watertown City School District is used to support the District’s mission. Watertown City School District has a high speed fiber infrastructure that supports the instructional, administrative, communication and operational functions necessary for all 21st Century technologies and state-of-the-art teaching in a safe learning environment. The District is committed to integrating technology as an essential tool, for creating a diverse learning experience for all students, enabling students to compete in an increasingly complex society, expanding the natural talents of our students, and allow all students to become lifelong learners.
The IT department provides a variety of technology tools to enhance student learning, including a full range of support for desktop systems, network access and administration, web development and technology planning. Each building provides a full-service computer learning lab, classroom workstations, Smartboard Technology in each classroom and access to current applications and informational resources.
