Public Notification of Accountability Status

In accordance with Commissioner’s Regulations §100.21, the Watertown City School District is providing public notification of its accountability status as determined by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

For the 2025–2026 school year, the following schools have been identified for accountability support:

  • Knickerbocker Elementary School has been identified as an Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) school.
     

  • Ohio Elementary School has been identified as a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) school.

These designations are part of New York State’s accountability system and are intended to provide schools with additional support to improve student outcomes. The district is actively engaged in planning and implementing instructional and school improvement strategies aligned to these designations.
