On June 2nd, J Jake Thomas, a Junior at Watertown High School, won the Broadway Bound competition. Students from all over the North Country participated in master classes with Ted Keegan, and then performed in a competition/concert that evening. Ted Keegan is an alumnus of WHS and Broadway's Number 12 Phantom! He starred in the National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera following a very successful run in the Broadway Company, and has performed the role in over 24 States across the country. He has the distinction of being the actor who has sung the role in front of the largest audience ever, when he made a spectacular flying entrance from the dome of MSG singing "The Phantom of the Opera" during the half-time show of the NBA All-Star Game. He also performs and volunteers locally here in Northern New York, including a special connection with Hospice of Jefferson County." Jake will be performing a duet with Ted Keegan at the annual Christmas Hospice Concert in the fall of 2019. Congratulations Jake!
